Purpose of revision
The purpose of this revision is to meet the needs of efficient and reasonable safety management of food utensils, containers and packaging and the development of related industries.
Overview of revised contents
About recycled plastics: the general manufacturing standards and the recycling standards of recycled plastics in the standards and specifications for food utensils, containers and packaging were revised.
About active and intelligent materials: new manufacturing standards for active and intelligent materials have been added.
About synthetic resin: according to the structural characteristics of synthetic resin materials are classified, and according to the order of the classification table index to the specific provisions of the material. In addition, polyketide was added to the synthetic resin.
About migration test: the concept of fatty food was clarified.
About test methods: the test methods of colorants and sulfur dioxide were revised.
Main contents of revision
The original part II "general specifications and standards" is revised as follows
1. Revision of standards for the use of recycled plastics (Amendment II. 1)
The scope of permitted use of recycled plastics which have been proved to be safe has been expanded; At the same time, the corresponding standards are formulated to allow the use of physically recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) raw materials in the direct contact layer with food.
2. New manufacturing standards for active and intelligent containers and packaging (Amendment II. 1)
In order to meet the needs of technological development and enhance the coordination between related industries and international trends, new manufacturing standards for active and intelligent containers and packaging have been added.
